About

The Seattle Skeptics was a meetup group formed in 2007. The monthly topic driven meetings, organized largely by Case, often included guest speakers and presentations. This dinner group format became so popular that membership quickly grew to over 400 members, so the Seattle Skeptics was formed.

In May of 2011, we merged with the Society for Sensible Explanations to help further our cause in the advocacy of science, science education and critical thinking.

In 2019 the name was changed to the Seattle Skeptics and Science Enthusiasts, reinforcing our shared love of and commitment to science and the process of thinking it entails.
